Karen Kinsey, PT, COMT, LAT, ATC
President & Owner
Karen is President and Owner of Hereford Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine. She holds a license to practice Physical Therapy from the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), Maryland Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) and National Athletic Trainers Association Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
Karen graduated from the University of Connecticut's School of Allied Health Professions in Physical Therapy (1991) and completed her Athletic Training certification in 1994. She has 25 years of experience working in a variety of physical therapy and sports medicine settings. In the fall of 2002 she opened Hereford Physical Therapy seeing a need for physical therapy services in the Northern Baltimore County area. Karen has successfully grown the practice over the years bringing a patient centered approach to HPT.
Karen continues to provide athletic training injury outreach to Hereford High School. During the fall, she can be seen most Friday nights along with her husband, Steve Kinsey (also a Certified Athletic Trainer), on the sidelines for the Hereford Bulls Football Games.
Steve Kinsey LAT, ATC, CEO
Steve, along with his wife, Karen, opened Hereford Physical Therapy in the fall of 2012. Steve has worked in a variety of clinical, high school, college and professional sports settings bringing 25 years of sports medicine experience to HPT.
Steve graduated from Towson State University (1990) and is a Maryland Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) and is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the National Athletic Trainers Association. In June of 2015 Steve was inducted in the Maryland Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame joining only 20 other athletic trainers to receive this award.
Steve and Karen provide athletic training services to Hereford High School. Steve is also an active Firefighter/ EMT the Hereford Volunteer Fire Company.
Monica Golder, PT
Monica graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in physical therapy. Monica is a licensed physical therapist in the State of Maryland by the Board of Medical Examiners and has been a practicing physical therapist for 20 years.
Monica has vast physical therapy experience working with a variety of patients. This includes treating adult and pediatric neurological patients for the Maryland Therapy Network, hospice patients at Stella Maris and home care physical therapist for Bayada Nurses.
Monica completed her Certification as an Exercise Expert for Aging Adults (CEEAA) through the American Physical Therapy Association Section on Geriatrics. This certification allows Monica to design and implement effective evidence based rehabilitation and exercise programs for aging adults.A lifelong Northern Baltimore County resident, Monica resides in the "Hereford Zone" with her husband and 3 boys.
Kristin Beil, DPT
Kristin received her Bachelor of Arts degree (with honors) in Exercise Science from McDaniel College. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Throughout her doctoral training, Kristin gained valuable clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics treating a wide variety of patients.
An avid runner, Kristin competed on the McDaniel College Woman's Cross Country team and was named to the All- Academic Teams for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
Jennifer Reider, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Jen received her Associate's degree from Baltimore City Community College. She is licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Maryland by the Board of Medical Examiners. She has practiced for 15 years in a variety of physical therapy settings treating a wide range of patients.
In her "free" time, Jen coaches soccer, field hockey and lacrosse. She is also a board member for the Hereford Recreational Council Girls Lacrosse league.
Lauren Groft, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Lauren received her Associate of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University graduating with honors from their Physical Therapist Assistant Program. She is licensed to practice in the State of Maryland by the Board of Medical Examiners. Lauren enjoys treating a wide range of patients and conditions helping them return to their prior level of function.
Lauren was a standout field hockey and soccer player at New Oxford (PA) High School and resides in Southern Pennsylvania.
Patient Care Coordinator
China is Hereford Physical Therapy's Patient Care Coordinator. She will most likely be the first person you talk to when you call our office. China takes care of all our patients coordinating insurance benefits and scheduling appointments. If you have a problem, China will do her best to solve it for you!
China resides in Harford County with her husband and enjoys spending time with her 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
