Meet Our Staff

Maura Simms, DPT, LAT, ATC

Maura received her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and Athletic Training from James Madison University and her post graduate doctoral degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She is licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of Maryland by the Board of Medical Examiners.  Maura is a Maryland Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) and is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Maura is currently a member of both the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.

Maura has worked as an athletic trainer at the Boys Latin School of Maryland and now provides coverage along with Steve Kinsey for Hereford High School athletics. She is currently pursuing her sports clinical specialization (SCS) through the APTA. Having dual credentials in physical therapy and athletic training allows Maura to treat a wide variety of patients combining her sports medicine background with orthopedic physical therapy practice.
