Wheezing:

A whistling noise in the chest which occurs during breathing when the airways are compressed.

Whirlpool:

Water bath in which the water is propelled by air to produce a massaging therapeutic action.

"Wind Knocked Out":

Syndrome describing a contraction of the abdominal nerve trunk, the solar plexus, as a result of an abdominal contusion.

Wrist:

The junction between the two forearm bones (radius and ulna) and the eight wrist bones (trapezium, trapezoid, capitate, hamate, pisiform, triquetral, lunate and scaphoid).
